Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden - lake view

Happy 4th of July everyone! Tonight we will be camping at a botanical garden, near a freshwater lake (as pictured)...but before that, we are taking Rudy kayaking for the first time! We are paddling to another tiny island, having lunch, then going back...the whole thing should last about 4-hours.

I'm not sure if we will be able to see fireworks from where we are, but I hope we can see the stars & have a wonderful time with our friends. We are all hoping not to get bombed by a lunatic Korean dictator, but at least we have a great last night on Earth planned.

Phone calls, emails, text messages, facebook, Morse code or something else... How do you like to stay in touch with your friends?

Recently I've been keeping touch with everyone through my cell phone. Not necessarily through phone calls, but through e-mail, text messages, and any application I can get to through my phone. Generally I can text/twit anyone. Then my secondary is e-mail/twitting people. Lastly I do the straight e-mail to friends and family through photos/facebook.  I have a system now where everything is connected so with one text I can hit all my social networking services. It is rather nice and efficient.
