The title makes it sound like that's the cat equivalent of hanging out in front of the Gas N Sip, smoking, drinking, and doing drugs with the other 'bad' kids.
Sorry, Trizzle, Vox doesn't have very good support for one person handling multiple accounts.
That's basically what it is-engaging in high risk behavior in the pursuit of enjoyment, and to be seen by the other cats. Like teenagers, cats often don't seem to like each other very much, and yet they spend a lot of time seeking out other cats.
So it's one of those "All you can catch, kill, and eat" joints then. I wonder if anyone chose that as their dream restaurant for the QotD a while back...
Do you worry about them a lot, being outdoor cats?
I don't really have the option right now, as I don't have any direct access to the wild, but after having a couple cats get hit or disappear growing up I don't know if I could handle it.
I do, actually. Growing up we had several cats disappar. However... with four cats keeping them inside the house would rapidly devolve into giznank. Also, these cats seem to be of a wilder stock than most. My mom got her cats from a shelter, and I theorize that they were from a family of feral kittens that got rescured.
I've spent a lot of time observing them and they seem quite sensible-they don't trust strange people, and they're very cautious about cars-often detecting them long before I can.
So, I just learn to live with the worry. I figure it's goood practice for having kids.
Please don't let your toddlers hang out in the street...
