This is a video I've tried to post before, but Vox wouldn't let me Tonight, though, it worked, so everyone can behold the cuteness of Trizzay, Elektra and Persephone when they were eight week old kittens (aka the age of maximum cuteness.)

The poor mom is getting buried by her babies, who are getting bigger but still want to nurse. This is a very tiring phase for queen, and I have a feeling this one will start weaning her kittens very soon.

My sister reported this morning that the kitten cam at http://chafervalley.dyndns.org is back with a new litter of kittens. This time the momcat has seven babies--quite a handful.

You can now see that they have a gate set up that allow the mother cat to exit, but not the kittens. I have a feeling, though, it's only going to be effective a few more days.

There was lots of activity on the kitten cam late last night. The kittens' Primary Food and Petting Provider made an appearance. She opened the cupboard and after rummaging around for a while, got out a stuffed animals for the kittens. It seems too large for the kittens to effectively play with, so I thought maybe its purpose was to acclimate the kittens to other cats, or to a dog.

The kitten cam is awesome. The mom cat looks really happy in this picture. Her babies are still small enough that they stay close to the nest.

Now that you can upload your own videos to Comet, I just transferred two videos my little brother and I took in August 2003, when the kittens were about six weeks old, ie, the age of maximum cuteness.
